Security and defence studies
Research and analysis on security, counterinsurgency, policing and governance for Nigeria and the wider region.
What it is
We provide evidence-based research and analysis on security questions. Typical topics include insurgency and counterinsurgency, national and human security, policing and security-sector reform, Nigerian foreign policy, and the links between poverty, governance and insecurity.
This is Eliakim Anzizi’s own field. He holds a PhD in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, and his published work covers Nigeria’s counterinsurgency strategies, the United States’ role in counterinsurgency efforts in Nigeria, and the Nigeria Police Force. In January 2026 he presented a paper on Nigeria’s foreign policy and humanitarian responses to the Boko Haram crisis at an international conference at the University of Nairobi.
Led by Eliakim Anzizi, PhD, research consultant and CEO of Erudite Digital Team Ltd. We are a remote team registered in Suleja, Niger State, with our CEO based in Kaduna, working with clients worldwide.
